so i've been going a little schizophrenic lately

so i wasn't going to post any pictures until we closed but its been pushed back twice now and i'm dying to share what we're doing!!
so we were supposed to close in 30 days which means we would currently be fixing in preparation for move-in!
then the governator passed a ca state first time home buyer tax credit! but you had to close after may 1. we figured the potential to get $10,000 was worth a week!
except may 1 is a saturday so closing became may 4.
then the probate court assessor said our house was worth $40,000 more than we were paying...ummm-what??
the estate was all like hells to the no! there's deferred maintenance and all sorts of crap and we're ready to close
so the court lowered the price, but there is court paperwork that has to happpen.
so now we're at may 7
gah!
so i must share!!
we're redoing the bathroom
there's only one and it need to be done right now!
here's why:

yes. that's our shower.
notice the laminate with gold flecks? great for a counter or around the wall, but not so much in the shower.

between the wall and the tub? rubber base board that's nailed on!!
i am so not showering in there

so rob's gonna redo the floors before we move in bc it will be much easier with out all our crap in the way.

so we did it..we put an offer in on a house!!! i'm dying right now. here's our problem--its a short sale so i was doing my daily perusing of new listings on redfin my preferred real estate site (great inter-active map if you don't know neighborhoods or zip codes!) and this house came up on a block that is awesome and we never thought we'd get into. i clicked on it and its a short sale. i decided to email it to the real estate lady anyways. she lets me know that the listing agent is someone they have worked with prior and she is difficult. great. so we wait a week. then i called the real estate lady to see if there was any word on getting in bc we were very very interested! she suggested we put in an offer pending an interior inspection if we felt that strongly about it. so i talked to the man and we were like HELL!
