i had a dream

the other nite i had a dream...or its possible i was awake and thinking then drifted off to sleep. i had mentally written an entire update that was dry, wry, and humorous (like my updates normally are, RIGHT?!?!)
when i woke up i had no idea what i had mentally written, just that i had done it...so i figured i'd just tell you that...
it might had had something to do with our abysmal continuing house hunt...our most recent prey is a house 2 door away from us! how awesome would that be?? its laid out just like ours..duplex. we only got to see the front unti, which is what we live in already so it was like a vacant version of out house! just wish we could have seen the back unit! its a probate sale and laws for probates in california are a pain in the ass!! it requires court confirmation..oh and we put in our offer over 2 figgin weeks ago and they still have not gotten back to us.
so the house hunt continues...
i hate the real estate market in southern california...
we have been actively looking for almost a year!! and looking on line for much longer than that...
thinking about makes me a little sick and makes me want to cry a lot.

so we did it..we put an offer in on a house!!! i'm dying right now. here's our problem--its a short sale so i was doing my daily perusing of new listings on redfin my preferred real estate site (great inter-active map if you don't know neighborhoods or zip codes!) and this house came up on a block that is awesome and we never thought we'd get into. i clicked on it and its a short sale. i decided to email it to the real estate lady anyways. she lets me know that the listing agent is someone they have worked with prior and she is difficult. great. so we wait a week. then i called the real estate lady to see if there was any word on getting in bc we were very very interested! she suggested we put in an offer pending an interior inspection if we felt that strongly about it. so i talked to the man and we were like HELL!
