disappointment

we bought a pummelo
it was huge.
we cut it open
it was a huge disappointment
there is sooo much skin

probably should have found out what it was before i bought it
guess we'll stick to oranges...

Today little man is 13  months old! Since I didn't post about his awesome cake on his bday I'll tell you all about it now! But first the recipe. so yes its been almost a month since i've shared the house with anyone we were supposed to get keys on may 4 originally so my parents booked a flight to come out and help us fix and move!  so dad was coming on may 4 to knock out some big stuff like the bathroom and mom was coming on may 8 since my vacation didn't start until may 9 (which was also mother's day so i thought it would be nice to give my mom a paint brush for mother's day-jk). so nice of them until we got the call the there was a court issue and we would not get keys until may 7. so mom looked into changing dad's to may 8 to fly with her and it just didn't make sense money-wise. so dad was going to get some quality time with rob that did not involve working on a house. so dad comes in and on may 5 he goes with me to sign the escrow paperwork!! then we find out that we are not getting keys on may 7- that is the final day for the court confirmation! we are not going to get the keys until probably may...

i had a dream

the other nite i had a dream...or its possible i was awake and thinking then drifted off to sleep. i had mentally written an entire update that was dry, wry, and humorous (like my updates normally are, RIGHT?!?!) when i woke up i had no idea what i had mentally written, just that i had done it...so i figured i'd just tell you that... it might had had something to do with our abysmal continuing house hunt...our most recent prey is a house 2 door away from us! how awesome would that be?? its laid out just like ours..duplex. we only got to see the front unti, which is what we live in already so it was like a vacant version of out house! just wish we could have seen the back unit! its a probate sale and laws for probates in california are a pain in the ass!! it requires court confirmation..oh and we put in our offer over 2 figgin weeks ago and they still have not gotten back to us. so the house hunt continues... i hate the real estate market in southern california... we have been...
